Day-of Coordination for the “Do it Yourself” Couple – $1,500

This package is for the couples who want to do most of the legwork themselves. Day of Coordination

Package includes:

  • 10 hours of on-site management by a coordinator the day of the event (Additional hours are $50 per hour)
  • Six hours of on-site management by a second coordinator
  • Assistance with obtaining marriage license
  • Start-up materials to help you plan your own wedding
  • Vendor recommendations and contact information
  • Verification of vendor arrivals (customer hires all vendors)
  • Supervision of setup (customer to provide diagram and instructions)
  • Monitoring of timeline and specific requests
    (such as first dance, first toast, etc.)
  • One hour initial visit
  • Two hours of email and telephone consultation
    (may be taken in 10 minute blocks)
  • One hour meeting week of event
  • Access to staff with extensive knowledge of island vendors, activities and locations
  • $2,000,000 liability insurance coverage
  • One-hour ceremony rehearsal coordination



Full Service Coordination – $2,500 plus 10 percent of vendor fees

Full Service CoordinationThis package is for the couples who would like professional help and guidance. With full coordination, we will take care of you every step of the way. We will act as your agent, ensuring that your wishes are being met on every level.

Package includes:

  • Superior customer service, phone and email support
  • Coordinator is on-site from setup until the conclusion of the event
  • Budgeting assistance, including suggestions to help couples
    stay within their budget
  • Overseeing the setup of the ceremony and reception
  • Assistance with meeting vision of décor and atmosphere, working closely with vendors to locate desired products
  • Hiring, managing and paying all vendors. Ensuring that vendors provide the services that they have been contracted for. Scheduling vendor arrival times and ensuring that they
    do arrive on time. Greeting each vendor on the day of the
    event and going over what is expected of them
  • A timeline and diagrams for ceremony and reception areas
  • Facilitating a ceremony rehearsal
  • Assistance with seating placements, setting up sign-in tables, dispersing favors, etc.
  • Assistance with obtaining a marriage license
  • Assistance with scheduling appointments
  • Management of the entire event program
  • Years of experience planning events on Maui and extensive
    knowledge of island vendors, activities and locations
  • $2,000,000 liability insurance coverage
  • Additional a la carte services may include: shopping, concierge,
    coordinating shuttle services, etc. Additional services shall be
    by mutual agreement with additional compensation to coordinator
  • All vendors must be approved by Maui Event Planning

Private EventsThe owners of Maui Event Planning have extensive private party and event planning experience and are happy to provide a quote for dinners, retreats, groundbreaking ceremonies, fundraisers, baby Luaus or other special events. Services that may be provided for such events include:

  • Assistance with travel and lodging arrangements on-island
  • Vendor recommendations and contact information
  • Supervision of setup
